[Bug 302429] [NEW] Calibrate touchscreen graphical utility says that X is already running

Public bug reported:

There's now a nice icon in the Administration menu to calibrate the
touchscreen. Unfortunatly, it doesn't work. I see the gksu prompt, then
a little information then nothing for one minute then a popup telling me
that calibration is done (which is not true).

Running it from the command line :

xserver located at /usr/bin/X
Creating FIFO...
Starting calibration program...

Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 1
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X1-lock
	and start again.

/usr/bin/xinit: Server error.

I've tried to remove the lock (to see) and I have this error :

xserver located at /usr/bin/X
Creating FIFO...
Starting calibration program...

_XSERVTransSocketINETCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running

Fatal server error:
Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running
/usr/bin/xinit: Server error.

** Affects: xf86-input-evtouch (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
