[Bug 303079] [NEW] mkvmerge does not recognise srt files

Binary package hint: mkvtoolnix

mkvmerge -0 file.mkv file.avi subtitles.srt

Error: The file 'subtitles.srt' has unknown type. Please have a look at
the supported file types ('mkvmerge --list-types') and contact the
author Moritz Bunkus <moritz at bunkus.org> if your file type is supported
but not recognized properly.

list-types shows srt as supported.

The packages it comes from are:
intrepid (graphics): 2.0.2-1.1 
Binary Packages: 
mkvtoolnix mkvtoolnix-gui

Using 8.10

It seems very likely that it is the same bug as this debian one.

and indeed If i use apt-get -b source mkvtoolnix then it works fine.
