Public bug reported:
Hi,
I use an Ubuntu -without Gnome- only with Fluxbox.
I've installed ivman to avoid manually mounting usb hard disks, pendrives and so on.
"ivman -d nofork" gives me these information:
- usb external hard disks but also pendrives are not mounted because:
"they are not removable devices" and
"it is impossible to run pmount"
While I am writing a doubt raises: if it is not an ivman bug, I mean it could be a pmount bug.
I don't know if it could help in some way, but I remember that in the past there's no problem of sort about this,
but in the past kernel saw my internal hard drive as /dev/hda and now it sees it as /dev/sda; so I'm not so skilled, but I suppose this kernel re-naming/mapping strategy could need a modification in pmount procedures.
I've surfed the web and I've read tons of possible solutions,
especially Gentoo's workararounds, but they don't work.
Please be patient,
thank you in advance
please help,
deadlinx
