Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: sauerbraten
If you are running Sauerbraten on a different resolution than your desktop it won't start when you launch it. You'll get a black screen and your mouse pointer and have to kill the process on (e.g.) a tty.
After that you're presented with a desktop that is still as large as its resolutions says, but you're looking through a 'window' of the size of Sauerbraten's resolution. You can see other parts of the desktop by going with your mouse to the edges of the sceen, the display will slide.
Sauerbraten does start correctly if you adapt the resolution of your
desktop before you start the game or after you just killed it and the
smaller window on your larger desktop is still in use.
