This bug was fixed in the package wxwidgets2.8 - 2.8.9.1-0ubuntu6

wxwidgets2.8 (2.8.9.1-0ubuntu6) jaunty; urgency=low

  * Don't call dh_pycentral twice for each package (introduced in
    2.8.9.1-0ubuntu1). LP: #355455.
  * Call dh_pycentral for python-wxversion.
  * python-wxversion replaces earlier python-wxgtk2.8. LP: #355424.
