When I ran into this problem awhile back, I tried using a delay, but it
didn't work. I tried again at your suggestion and it seems to be
working now - how strange! My Startup Applications calls
"/home/connor/bin/start-conky.sh &" which contains
/bin/sleep 10
/usr/bin/conky > /dev/null 2>&1
Simply using "/bin/sleep 10 ; /usr/bin/conky > /dev/null 2>&1" as the
Startup Applications command didn't work - no conky showed at all.
Perhaps conky is not able to get the correct settings when it starts up
because the desktop and/or window manager is not fully loaded yet?
