Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: grub2
Grub2, grub-pc 1.96+20080724-12ubuntu2
I know Grub2 is experimental..
pc bios (intel D945GLC motherboard)
Grub2 will not install or boot properly on raid1 or other md software
raid devices.
This is because the core image must be smaller than 63 sectors to fit in the hard drive's MBR.
Adding the RAID module to the core image increases its size past this threshold.
This is a general report, just to indicate grub2 is unsuitable for use
as default bootloader (yet)
** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
