Update from some of my testing and research...

Since downgrading mesa to 7.3, I had 2 freezes over a period of about 5
days or so.  I then went back to 7.4 and in the space of 12 hours had 3
freezes.

It makes me wonder if there are two freeze issues - one low frequency
one in 7.3, and a higher frequency one in 7.4.  Certainly there were
already a number of reports of freezes prior to 4/3, just that we had a
spurt of i965-specific ones after 4/3.
