I just added the following to my xorg.conf
Section "Device"
	Identifier	"Onboard Intel Video"
	 Option "EXAOptimizeMigration" "true"
	#Option "AccelMethod" "exa"
	#Option "MigrationHeuristic" "greedy"
	Option "monitor-VGA" "ExternalVGA"
	Option "monitor-LVDS" "OnboardLVDS"
	#Option "AccelMethod" "uxa"
EndSection
I think this enables EXA and I will try the greedy  in a little while,
will see how this works.
