I confirm this bug with my Xenarc (which is described in bug #276302 )
with Jaunty RC.

Calibration has an effect but seems to take some wrong value : after
calibration, all movements stay more or lest in the SW-NE diagonal.

If do the calibration intentionnaly wrong (I press SE corner for NW, I
press S cross for N cross, and continuing like that), the diagonal will
become NW-SE which is the proof that calibration has effect on the
system.
