I understand why the functionality is not working but in that case the
documentation (qemu man page) should be fixed.  This section should just
be removed:

       -enable-kvm
           Enable KVM full virtualization support. This option is only available if KVM
           support is enabled when compiling.

Is this worth opening a separate bug report for?
