Same problem here with Jaunty 9.04 RC, thunderbird 2.0.0.21 and lightning 0.9
Nothing is shown in the calendar: empty white fields in all lightning fields (day- week-multiweek and month view as well as tasks). All calendar related commands in the menu are "shaded"
