Public bug reported:
I've had this problem in Intrepid and now in Jaunty freshly installed
from RC. I have configured the following in /etc/laptop-
mode/conf.d/cpufreq.conf:
BATT_CPU_GOVERNOR=ondemand
LM_AC_CPU_GOVERNOR=performance
NOLM_AC_CPU_GOVERNOR=performance
I was expecting my CPU to use the performance governor and stay at
maximum frequency when on AC and use the ondemand governor and vary
between minimum and maximum frequency based on CPU load when on battery.
What I am getting is a sort of random behavior, where sometimes I have
the performance governor when running on battery and ondemand governor
when running on AC. It always involves a suspend/hibernate then resume
cycle.
Note that I have /etc/default/acpi-support configured with
ENABLE_LAPTOP_MODE=true.
** Affects: laptop-mode (Ubuntu)
