It's not really possible to set that automatically, and enabling it
breaks compiz (due to a long-standing metacity bug, among other
silliness).

I'm closing this bug as invalid.  This is the currently expected (if
annoying) behaviour.  Welcome to the wonderful world of experimental
drivers!
