  Hello,
  
  I am running ubuntu hardy and intel video driver (the latest available version) on an intel 965GM machine.
  Randomly the startup ends on a blank screen, which i manage to resolve through CTRL+ALT F1/F7.
  
  I've tested it on an Ubuntu Intrepid with it's latest intel video driver
  and it works fine. So the problem seems to be with the driver version.
  
  Unfortunately I'm stuck on hardy due to other non-updated drivers.
  
  Is there anyone who may help me with this?
