Just connected same monitor to my Ubuntu8.10 x86_64. Windowing looks ok,
but movies won't play. youtube videos don't work, just show blank area
in screen. When I open Screen Resolution, it says "unknown monitor".

I have a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4830 video card in this system that I
built a week ago. I previously had an old Princeton LCD monitor
connected via DVI, and this problem did not occur until I connected the
Acer and booted.
