Public bug reported:
After a fresh update to Jaunty I was forced to use a vertically stacked dual-screen setup, because of the bug described in this comment:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/mesa/+bug/146859/comments/47
This has its bugs as well - maximized windows on the main screen have
their status bar or lower portion of the window hidden underneath the
bottom bar. This issue can be reproduced with either metacity or compiz.
** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
