** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: kwin

I'm running kubuntu 8.10 on a lenovo x61t. When kde desktop effects are
turned on opengl graphics appear scrambled. One program I tried running
was neverball but a few other programs had the same problem. Objects
would appear in the program but they would not have the correct images
on them. for example the coins in neverball were missing their faces and
instead had a brown spot on them, and the ball and background images
would randomly disappear. This all happened on a fresh kubuntu install
  after installing all updates.
