** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
On my Dell Latitude E5400, which has intel X4500 graphics
1) XAA crashes xorg
2) EXA results in graphical corruption: some window elements are not drawn and replaced by garbage, background windows or parts of the desktop.
3) UXA works, with some bugs, but is by far the most useable.
This seems to be independent of having desktop effects activated or not,
and IIRC happened after my last upgrade of xorg-intel.
Currently, having EXA by befault is definitely a problem on this
system.[edit]
