I've tried to install libmlt++1_0.3.8-0ubuntu2~ppa1 and
libmlt++1_0.3.8-0ubuntu2~ppa2 from your and Michael Marley's ppa's,
removed kdenlive config after both installations. Codec are still
unaccessible.
