The error indicates to me that the libjpeg ABI (on 64bit at least) changed between the version the g-w-p package was built against, and the one that's installed now. A simple rebuild of the package should solve this specific problem.
(The ABI break _also_ needs to be dealt with in the involved package's version/conflicts/etc, obviously.)
