I think this is the same bug, as the one described in this thread:

The bug should be fixed with the new version of the intel video driver.

I got i to work, by adding the backports from
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates/ repositories.

Hope it can help somebody.
