[Bug 369622] [NEW] torcs 1.3.0 causes jaunty to lock-up

Public bug reported:

After the upgrade, TORCS car racer causes the computer to go on a stand-still.  Once the program starts, computer just hangs reminding me of Windows 3.11. No key stroke works leaving no option but to hit the power button. (REISUB does not work either).
This is on open source radean driver. (mobility radeon 9600 rv 350)
I downloaded TORCS 1.3.1 - It causes no crash, but runs very slow. 
(TORCS runs fine in 8.10)
