Public bug reported:

I am trying to run Sun Java real-time system on my laptop. The real-time
kernel crashes when I try to run the samples that are bundled with the
JRTS development kit. Dmesg contains the following :

kernel BUG at /build/buildd/linux-rt-2.6.28/fs/buffer.c:1282!
...
Fixing recursive fault but reboot is needed!

See attached dmesg.out for complete log.

Same samples work fine with the general Ubuntu kernel. With the rt
kernel, all the general purpose programs like the web browser, etc, also
work fine.
