Andrea: _thank you_ for doing this. At the euro-scipy conference, there
was a request for me to keep maintaining my PPA with Mayavi2 for
up-to-date versions and backports. I replied that in the interest of my
sanity, I was hoping I could offload some of the work on the real package
maintainers.
