How to build a usable package:

sudo apt-get build-dep libpanel-applet2-ruby1.8
mkdir /tmp/bla
cd /tmp/bla
apt-get source libpanel-applet2-ruby1.8
cd ruby-gnome2-0.19.0
sed -i -e's/\.so$/*.so/' debian/libpanel-applet2-ruby1.8.install
sudo dpkg -i ../libpanel-applet2-ruby1.8_0.19.0-2ubuntu2_*.deb
