Oops sorry, the output above are from the host (Ubuntu 9.04, VirtualBox
3.0.4)

here are the output from the guest VM (Ubuntu 9.10):
$ lsmod | grep vb
vboxvfs                45216  1 
vboxadd                71648  6 vboxvfs
$ dmesg | grep vbox
