[Bug 493052] [NEW] rotate screen = crashed display

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nouveau-kernel-source

just installed karmic, then xserver-xorg-video-nouveau, used gnome-
display-properties to try and rotate the screen, got a hozed screen.

moving mouse does not move pointer, caps/num do not toggle lights.

I can ssh into the box.
