[Bug 495580] [NEW] first run qemu fail

Binary package hint: testdrive

i am running Kubuntu 9.10 
loaded ppa via instruction console 
ran it downloaded 1. desktop lucid
ran testdrive boots up qemu 
select keyboard
select istall ubuntu
the i get a flash of green blocks in window and then nothing ... just a black window 
and left it for 10mins and still nothing
