[Bug 401158] Re: openmovieeditor VERY, VERY slow - unusable

I upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10 with a clean installation. I tried
OpenMovieEditor again. This time it opens, but it is still VERY, VERY
slow in playing back a MPG file. It takes a long before it starts to
play, and when it does, it plays slowly in  shutter effect. At least
this time it does not freeze up my whole laptop. Also, when I stop the
playback, I can now use the "slider", although it is not user friendly
enough. I don't know how many frames is skipped as I move it slowly left
and right. Even if I click on the "skip frame forward" button, nothing
happens.
