This was done this morning as part of the autosync process.

In general, if Ubuntu has an unmodified version of the Debian package
(no ubuntu in the version number), you don't need to do anything
explicitly to sync the new version from Debian unstable (although it's
testing for the Lucid cycle). Bugs are only necessary when Ubuntu-
specific changes are being dropped, or you're syncing from experimental
(or unstable for Lucid).

When you do want to request a non-automatic sync, you should do it with
the requestsync script in ubuntu-dev-tools - it'll subscribe the
appropriate people to deal with the bug. In this case, ubuntu-universe-
sponsors should have been subscribed to the bug, or in all likelihood
nobody would have ever noticed.
