@Alex, your problem is not the same. You don't get a 403-Forbidden like
Amrath-raj.

In your case this is bug 431217. Could you please try the following workaround and tell if it helps. Open a terminal and run 
$ gksudo gedit /var/lib/dpkg/info/ttf-mscorefonts-installer.postinst 

Search for 'wget' (without the quotes) It should be line 148.
Remove the options: --dns-timeout=10 --connect-timeout=5 --read-timeout=300
Save the file
Then run :
sudo  /var/lib/dpkg/info/ttf-mscorefonts-installer.postinst configure

Please tell us if it helps in order to produce a patch. Thanks.
