This bug also affects me. When I try to install the NVIDIA driver via
the textual interface, I receive the following error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "interface.py", line 432, in <module>
a.mainMenu()
File "interface.py", line 295, in mainMenu
a.driverMenu('nvidia')
File "interface.py", line 322, in driverMenu
self.driverPage(driver)
File "interface.py", line 216, in driverPage
candidateLen.append(len(details['candidate']))
TypeError: object of type 'NoneType' has no len()

I'm running Karmic x64
kernel 2.6.31-16-generic
NVIDIA driver 185.18.36 (Karmic default)
