For me, Shiretoko does not respect subpixel smoothing and hinting set in
gnome-appearance-properties (Firefox 3.0 does). FWIW, I have
qt4-qtconfig installed.

firefox-3.5:
  Installed: 3.5+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1

firefox-3.5-gnome-support:
  Installed: 3.5+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1

The screenshot shows gnome-panel and firefox-3.0 (correct smoothing) and
firefox-3.5 (incorrect).
