[Bug 399177] [NEW] sreadahead quits immediately after start

I am running Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28-13-lpia
I installed sreadahead but it quits immediate after it starts.

Trying to run manually, I got this:

root at ubuntu904:~# umount /var/lib/sreadahead/debugfs/
root at ubuntu904:~# strace -o /tmp/out /sbin/sreadahead -d
Unable to select open tracer
: Invalid argument


The strace output shows that the "write" system call failed.
It seems like some kind of missing functionality or bug in the kernel.
Perhaps something is missing in the kernel to get this working.
