[Bug 399578] [NEW] Weather Applet not working

The Weather Applet is not working for some, as described here -->

In my case, I am using V2.0.7 with firewall disabled via Gufw 9.04.2.  I
am able to ping weather.com with the firewall disabled, but not with it
enabled.  I am also able to wget with firewall enabled or disabled,
which was suggested in the forum.
