 As I said, this creates useless delta when the only change in one
 distro is to add or remove a patch.  Instead of seeing that only
 change, you see the addition/removal of the patch system itself.

 It's also not terribly nice to have to add a patch system when you
 realize you need to do a stable update or security upload.

 Anyway since you maintain the packages in both Debian and Ubuntu, I
 expect you'll deal with that anyway.   :-)

 Hmm ok, so not against the bzr branch you mentionned?
