I don't have the time to work on this bug, and it's beyond my skill
level of basic merges.

The problem is to do with the site-packages folder needing to be renamed
to dist-packages to work with python2.6. This requires some sort of
renaming/changes to the configure file in order to be compatible with
both python2.5 and python2.6.
