[Bug 401689] [NEW] linuxvnc in console mode crashes randomly

Public bug reported:

I have a bootable kubuntu 9.04 installed on a usb key. I use tty1 with a
startup script in /etc/init.d/ to launch a text based menu and perform
different actions.

linuxvnc version installed : 0.9.3.dfsg.1-1ubuntu2

This may be done at a distance so for debugging and remote assistance I have included the linuxvnc package to have 'console-mode' vnc on tty1.
I launch vnc in this manner in my script

"linuxvnc 1 &"

Sometimes, after a screen refresh or something, the vnc server crashes : I can see the following error message with dmesg:
       linuxvnc[pid]: segfault at b7c87b70 ip b7d458aa sp bfb186fc error 6 in libc-2.9.so[b7ccc000+15c000]

Maybe my way of launching isn't clean, I should run it as an isolated
init.d script maybe?

However this doesn't explain or fix the actual crashing. also, if i
rerun the "linuxvnc 1 & " command, it segfaults directly, so  I cant
even make it respawn if terminated...
