[Bug 401096] Re: Weird "buffering" of scanned pages

Here is gscan2pdf --debug output.  I scanned two pages, the first one
resulting in an error, and the second returning the data from the first
scan.

The following caught my eye:

Added /tmp/Ml1VcuqGa8/ToL5ERuvFR.pnm at page 1 with resolution 300
Warning: Unrecognized image file format at /usr/bin/gscan2pdf line 1509.

*** unhandled exception in callback:
***   Image file '/tmp/Ml1VcuqGa8/ToL5ERuvFR.pnm' contains no data at /usr/bin/gscan2pdf line 1497.
