Hi,

I have noticed a similar problem accessing
http://www.1stcontactforex.com/ (the front page). This site uses both
flash and java and just causes firefox to hang indefinitely. The java
console is responsive but firefox is not and takes up 100% of the CPU.

I am using 1.6.0_14 (6-14-0ubuntu1.9.04) :

martin at marto: ~# sudo update-alternatives --config java_vm

There are 2 alternatives which provide `java_vm'.

*+        1    /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/bin/java_vm
          2    /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun/jre/bin/java_vm

In Firefox about:plugin shows: 

Java(TM) Plug-in 1.6.0_14-b08

    File name: libjavaplugin_oji.so
    Java(TM) Plug-in 1.6.0_14
....
Shockwave Flash

    File name: libflashplayer.so
    Shockwave Flash 10.0 r22
