** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

I'm using Ubuntu Karmic and since I'm using intel video driver v2.7.99
(and now v2.8.0 final) menus are not displayed properly on my window
  manager (Gnome).

I'll join a screenshot but basically:
- - I click on any menu in the system (gnome-taskbar, firefox, nautilus, ...)
+ - I click on any menu in the system (gnome-taskbar, synaptic, nautilus, xchat...)
  - The grey branckground area of the menu is displayed but not the text (the entries)
  - Waiting does not change anything
  - The only way to display the text if to move the cursor over the text and it will appear one by one once the mouse is over the text.

Compiz is disabled and enabling it does not change anything.
