Editing /var/lib/zope2.9/instances/$instance/bin/zopectl and changing
SOFTWARE_HOME="/usr/lib/zope2.9/lib/python2.4/site-packages"
to
SOFTWARE_HOME="/usr/lib/zope2.9/lib/python"
fixed the startup issue. If it's the package structure that changed,
which requires users to update the (autogenerated, I assume) config
files under /var/lib/zope2.X/instances, that should at least be
documented in NEWS.Debian. Currently the only distro-specific file I
can find is /usr/share/doc/zope-common/README.Ubuntu.gz and it doesn't
say a word about this.
