   karmic Daily Build 10 June 2009 20:15 CD Live boots to black screen on
  ThinkCentre A30 with i840 video graphics.

  Appears to come up, starts gdm & Gnome, then hangs solid.  Cannot get
  any log data or anything else since it is CD Live.  Since it's hung
  can't install to save any data.  Karmic Alpha 1 is running O.K. on this
  pc.  The same CD installs on Compaq Presario and Thinkpad T40 (with
  mouse problem, that's another bug TBD)
  
  Does not seem to be the Intrepid Compiz bug because it still occurs with
  apt-get remove compiz.
  
  Booting recovery mode nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf and adding Driver "vesa"
  enables boot to complete, however screen is still black.  Note Driver
  "vesa" works fine on Karmic Alpha 1 on this pc.
  
  Ctrl-Alt-F1 was able to get some logs and do a ubuntu-bug -p xorg.  Will
  attach following.
  
  Easy to reproduce, if I can provide anything else.
