[Bug 388905] [NEW] package conflict and failed dependencies

Binary package hint: wammu

Upon upgrading from wammu 0.24 intrepid universe to wammu 0.30 from the PPA, a conflict was found between the existing libgammu-common and the new libgammu-i18n, resolved by uninstalling libgammu-common. Since then, on start up wammu() dies, returning the stack dump:

I have tried reinstalling wammu, gammu and related python dependencies
but without success.
