[Bug 393041] [NEW] attempt to change volume causes graphics hang

xine 0.99.6

How to reproduce:
Running Firefox 3.5 RC3 with two tabs
Xine playing .avi movie

Start playing movie and try to raise xine volume level with Shift+v and
everything hangs except the cursor which can still be moved around.
