I've done internet sharing commands, but never had this problem until last week.
I did "sudo dpkg-reconfigure ipmasq"
Did not work.
then:
sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces
I added lines:
"auto eth1
iface eth1 inet dhcp" 
for my card, which connects to the internet.
Then it worked!
