I have very similar symptoms (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370343 ).
For me it only happens with UXA enabled.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/331795 is also very similar (I marked my
bug as a duplicate of 331795 and I believe that this bug also is).

Biji: It appears from your Xorg.log that you also had UXA enabled (?);
does the problem go away if you disable UXA?

Bruno may have a different problem since he apparently did not have UXA
enabled?
