[Bug 346519] Re: Does not detect that card is too old for driver

I installed the fglxr driver using apt (apt-get install xorg-driver-
fglrx). This did not work and cause X to display incorrectly. I then (in
recovery mode) did apt-get purge xorg-driver-fglrx to remove it. On
trying envyng again, because the packages were already installed, envyng
only configured xorg.conf for me. The fglrx driver is now working.

The problem with envy is definitely related to the front end, probably a
small bug and should be addressed asap.
