[Bug 371754] [NEW] liferea UI freezes when updating feeds

Ubuntu 9.04 amd64,
liferea 1.4.26-0ubuntu1

when updating feeds, the UI temporarily freezes.  The result is that I
cannot use liferea when it is updating feeds.

What I expect is that the GUI and the feed-update run in different
threads, so the GUI should stay responsive, especially on a multi-core
machine.
